THIS WEEK’S TOPIC:
FALL

I have published dozens of fall colour photos, which you can peruse here:

By the time November comes along, those leaves are rapidly fading and dropping,
but there’s still beauty in cold, austere land and skyscapes:

  1. I’ve been very busy so I’m catching up on posts. Your photos make me think winter is coming. For you, I know it is. I wonder if we’ll have some cold weather the way we did last year in December when we had temps down in the 20s for several nights.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Thanks for taking the time to comment here, Janie. 🙂 I’m trying to get caught up as well. Yes, we can sense the onslaught of winter, although we had a few milder than normal days in November. Temps in the 20s seem unusual for your area. Here’s hoping you will be spared this year.

  2. Debbie,

There is beauty in every step of each season, even as the landscape turns toward rich earthy tones, trees that stand bare, or stark gray skies. You found an exceptional day with gorgeous sunny skies. The colors of November make me think of silence. It’s a signal that more serious weather changes are on the loom. In your case nasty cold conditions often times involving white fluffy precipitation that southerners dream about and northerners can’t wait for it to go away. I, on the other hand prefer seeing snowy landscapes in pictures. I’m very content to being in an area where we see very little snow. I hope I didn’t jinx myself and we get dumped on big time this winter. Anywho, nice photos! 🙂

    1. We were lucky to have had a couple of sunny days recently, but now it’s pretty bleak and getting colder.
“nasty cold conditions often times involving white fluffy precipitation that southerners dream about and northerners can’t wait for it to go away.” You nailed it, Cathy! 🙂 Thanks for coming by.

  3. I especially liked the first photo. The memorial cross made me want to learn more but I can’t seem to find Lola Cove online. There was a Lola Lake provincial park but I don’t think it was the same place (?) Skies and lakes really do go together.

    1. I wanted to learn more too, and spent a long time online trying to find info about Lola’s Cove. Only the name comes up as a “park” and it’s not the same as Lola Lake. This is Lake Ontario, in the Toronto suburb of Oakville. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos, Alana! Thanks for coming by. 🙂
