Rome is one of my favourite places in the world, Eli. I’m glad you were able to see it for yourself. Thanks for dropping in. 🙂
wow the streets are still crowded even at night. Wonderful pictures 🙂
Oh yes, Rome is always a hub of activity. This was taken in early Sept., which is prime tourist season.
What a pleasant surprise. When I read yellow, I was expecitng yellow flowers. This is much better! 🙂
Thanks, Angelika! 🙂 I thought so too. At first, I was going to post more autumn leaves photos, but that’s been done to death. then I remembered these – which I thought didn’t turn out well at the time.
Never been to Rome, but I saw Fellini’s Roma which was almost as good as going there. One of my favorite films ever.

Hmmm, I never thought of that, Lee. 🙂 I’ve seen bits and pieces, but never the whole movie. I’ll have to check it out!
It is a bit weird. So far no one I’ve recommended it to has liked it, but it is a somewhat acclaimed film by many.

Fellini is always a bit weird, but that’s part of his charm. 🙂 I have seen “La Dolce Vita” and enjoyed it. Will let you know what I think of “Roma”.
Hi, Shady; Rome is incredible and I hope you and Mrs. Shady will get the chance to see it. It’s an entirely different ambiance over there. I love everything about it! 🙂 Lucky for us, hubby’s immediate family lives in the area.
I would love to go to Rome, the history – OMgosh, I would be so overwhelmed, in love, and lost in the atmosphere, breathtaking!!!!
I hope you get the chance to go there, Yolanda. Rome is incredible and yes, the ambience – everything – is wonderful!
Very nice! Must have been a lovely place to visit!
Rome is magical, Laurel, any time of day or night. 🙂 We are so lucky that hubby’s immediate family lives in the area!
Wow, there are a lot of people there. What time of the evening is this?
it was around 9 pm, Jeffrey. That’s “prime time” in Italy. People go out for dinner or a stroll. 🙂 It’ s completely different lifestyle there.
Rome is on my bucket list, Italy rather….Your pictures have just made the resolve stronger 🙂
When our plane was hijacked, we had to make an emergency landing in Rome. Never been back but hopefully someday.
That must have been so frightening, Carol! Was that in your book? I can’t remember. Hopefully, you will get to see Rome under more pleasant circumstances next time.
Yes, it was. Rome and Greece are on my bucket list.
Lovely pictures there! I have never been to Rome but I really wish I could go there.
I have never been but it is on my bucket list! The closest I got was when our plane landed in Rome before heading off to Venice. These pictures are beautiful and so romantic looking even with all the tourists. How late was it when you took these photos
You would love Rome, Birgit! And I have Venice on the Bucket List. 🙂 It was about 9 pm, which is “prime time” in Italy. People go out for dinner and stroll around. Rome is always jam-packed with tourists.
Beautiful! Did you toss coins and make wishes? 🙂
We sure did, Corinne. 🙂 Fortunately, my husband’s immediate family lives in the area, so it’s a great excuse to come back again. Rome is incredible!
Love your take on the colour Yellow, Debbie. What beautiful photos of Rome! Yes, I’ve been there as you know but that was 30 years ago. I’d love to go again. You can never see it all in one trip.
Thanks, Cathy. 🙂 I think you could live in Rome for a year and still not see everything. It’s so incredible there!
