Welcome to another edition of Photo Friday.

YELLOW, photo friday
The objective is to post your own images, based on a prompt provided by the Photo Friday staff.

Let there be light!
Rome After Dark
These photos, bathed in the yellow light of the street lamps,
were taken on a balmy night in Sept. 2013, at the famous Fountain of Trevi:

    1. Thanks, Angelika! 🙂 I thought so too. At first, I was going to post more autumn leaves photos, but that’s been done to death. then I remembered these – which I thought didn’t turn out well at the time.

        1. Fellini is always a bit weird, but that’s part of his charm. 🙂 I have seen “La Dolce Vita” and enjoyed it. Will let you know what I think of “Roma”.

  1. Hi, Debbie the Doglady! Mrs. Shady and I would love to go to Rome someday. We recently made a list of European destinations to visit and Rome is one of them. The soft golden glow in your pictures tells the story. A friend once described to me how the light is noticeably different there, the quality of the air, the smells – everything. All of your senses come alive, I was told, as they experience something entirely new.

I wish you a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Debbie!

    1. Hi, Shady; Rome is incredible and I hope you and Mrs. Shady will get the chance to see it. It’s an entirely different ambiance over there. I love everything about it! 🙂 Lucky for us, hubby’s immediate family lives in the area.

    1. That must have been so frightening, Carol! Was that in your book? I can’t remember. Hopefully, you will get to see Rome under more pleasant circumstances next time.

  2. I have never been but it is on my bucket list! The closest I got was when our plane landed in Rome before heading off to Venice. These pictures are beautiful and so romantic looking even with all the tourists. How late was it when you took these photos

    1. You would love Rome, Birgit! And I have Venice on the Bucket List. 🙂 It was about 9 pm, which is “prime time” in Italy. People go out for dinner and stroll around. Rome is always jam-packed with tourists.

  3. Love your take on the colour Yellow, Debbie. What beautiful photos of Rome! Yes, I’ve been there as you know but that was 30 years ago. I’d love to go again. You can never see it all in one trip.
