NEW is the current theme for L’il HooHaa’s Photo Blogging Challenge. This could go so many different ways! New stuff, new places, new experiences, new attitudes, etc. Here’s what I came up with:
1) NEW Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Jersey, added to the collection:
2) NEW book, NEW Kindle (with NEW Ebooks) and NEW Monthly planner:
3) NEW athletic shoes from the NEW BALANCE store:
4) NEW Street is good for shopping!
5) NEW flowers for my birthday:

Wow! That graphic at the top of your post is something new, too. Love it! The Flames keep changing up their jerseys, but since Mr. GeoK stopped playing rec hockey many years back, we haven’t been buying the latest and greatest. I’m curious to know if you prefer your e-reader vs physical books. For me, it’s situation dependent and I sure like the candlelight glow night illumination on my Kobo. Belated Happy Birthday! The orchids are lovely.
Hi Denise! I’m glad you like the graphic, and you’re right, it is new. Designing them has become a bit of a new obsession. 🙂 Regarding the e-reader, I resisted for a long time, preferring physical books, but I’m running out of space in the house. The e-reader’s light is soothing, as you said. The books are a lot cheaper, and the Kindle’s portability makes travelling so much easier. Still, I love the look of book-lined shelves and the rustle of the page between my fingers. 🙂 Thanks for coming by and for the birthday wishes!
This was fun. I enjoyed checking out your pictures, Debbie!
Thanks, Parul. I went where the prompt led me. 🙂
Made me wonder what’s new in my life ? You beneath your skin is an excellent book. I love it too. Beautiful flowers ?
I had to think about it for a while. The street sign was a bit of a stretch! 😀 I am enjoying the book, actually on the Kindle. I bought the paperback as extra support for the causes. Thanks for coming by! 🙂
A great set of shots for the theme. I’ll ignore that top one, though. As an Islanders fan that jersey front and center is not one I will like looking at … 🙂
The street sign was a bit of stretch, but I ran out of ideas. 🙂 I can understand why you wouldn’t like that jersey, but Tavares hails from this area and is a hometown hero to Leafs fans. 😀 Thanks for coming by!
I like No. 1 the best, but would have liked it even more, had it been an Edmonton Oilers jersey on display. You know how it is with the Oiler Loyal. 😉
I imagine OIlers and Maple Leafs fans are similar! 🙂 Which Edmonton player’s jersey would you like to have?
Connor McDavid, of course. I would sport a # 97, gladly.
Cool! The NHL Shop is having a sale! 🙂 https://shop.nhl.com/edmonton-oilers/connor-mcdavid-jerseys/t-36933906+a-45869448+d-278865+z-9-1190093873
Love all your new things. My hub has a collection of shirts too. I can’t even keep track, but Wendell Clark sounds familiar, lol. Enjoy Damyanti’s book! 🙂
Thanks, Deb 🙂 Only one of the 3 jerseys is autographed, so we’ll be going on a quest to get the other two signed. We are Maple Leafs fanatics (= masochists). ? I have started reading Damyanti’s book. It’s a real eye-opener!
I’d love a new Islanders jersey… but I’m too cheap…
Yeah, those jerseys are not cheap! 😮 I wouldn’t buy one for myself, but this was a gift from hubby. 🙂 John Tavares hails from right here in our suburban area. He’s a “hometown hero”, so to speak. Too bad you didn’t get an islanders Tavares one while you still had the chance! 😉 (Or, maybe you did?)
cool post. we have the same square vase
Thanks! 🙂 I was struggling to find subject matter, hence the boring photo of a street corner. ?
Bravo on the New Street. Clever! I love new books and shoes of course. Lovely flowers and Happy Birthday!
I am grateful for New Street, otherwise, I would have come up short in the idea department! ? It’s kind of a boring photo, but, it does fit the theme. New books and shoes are always nice to have. 🙂 Thanks for coming by!
Love the planner cover… give us a peek inside?
Aquarius is my Zodiac sign. 🙂 The interior is plain – just monthly calendars with blank squares, spread over two pages per month. (like a Daytimer). I use it to keep track of the clients’ comings and goings for the dog business. Thanks for coming by! P.S. I am enjoying your book! ?
I love that idea and your blog. From my vantage point, in that I’ve been away for a while, everything looks new!
Hi, how are you? Me, I’m back to blogging now that we’ve settled ourselves in Myrtle Beach. Feels good to have a permanent home again. Feels better to be to visiting old friends!
So nice to see you, Yolanda! Welcome back. 🙂 Myrtle Beach sounds lovely. I’ll be sure to check what you’re up to now that I know you’re actively blogging again. As for me, I’m thumbing my nose at being officially “OLD” now, according to the government. Hahaha! (Ridiculous idea, isn’t it? 🙂 ) Thank you for dropping in!
Beautiful birthday flowers, Debbie! Love the pics you chose for the challenge. Happy Monday and have a fabulous week ahead.
Thanks, Eugenia! The flowers certainly brightened up the place. 🙂 Wishing you a good week, as well!
Your birthday flowers are beautiful. What a lovely gift.
Have a fabulous day and week, Debbie. Big hug. ♥
Thank you, Sandee! 🙂 Wishing you a good week, as well. Cheers!
Debbie,
This looks like a fun hop but not being out and about on a normal basis would pose a problem for my participation, plus I have too much on my plate as it is. 🙁 What beautiful flowers you got for you birthday! Just love the burst of color this time of the year with all the grayness. Well…yesterday we had plenty of sunshine so that was super nice. 🙂 Thanks for joining me over the weekend and voting in my BoTB. Have a funtastic week, my friend!
Hi Cathy! This is actually a fairly easy blog hop. We are given the topic at the beginning of the month and the post isn’t due until the end of the month. 🙂 Yes, the flowers were a lovely counterpoint to our dreary January. We have sun today as well and it’s fairly mild (46F). Love that! ? Thanks for coming by! You have a good week, too.
Love the flowers and new t shirts are always a favorite of mine. Hope you have a great week!
Thanks, Carol. The flowers certainly brightened up a dreary January.
Yay, go Leafs!
Great pictures and creative ideas! Good for you there’s a “New Street” 😉
Happy birthday again 🙂
Yes, GO LEAFS!! ??? I had a hard time coming up with subject matter for this one, so I’m grateful there is a New Street. 😀 Kind of a boring picture, though. Thanks for coming by!
Congratulations for the birthday, many more wonderful birthdays ahead. I love the new shoes and the Kindle in Red looks pretty. Happy reading and using all the new stuff. You Beneath Your Skin is a gripping novel. I am sure you will enjoy it.
Thanks! 🙂 I have Damyanti’s book on the Kindle as well and have been reading it, already. Such a shocking and serious issue! ? She’s doing so much to help those poor women and I applaud her! Sorry, I missed your WATWB post. Going there now.
Those are gorgeous flowers! And You Beneath Your Skin was one of my favourite reads last year!
The flowers added a much-needed touch of colour during the dreary month of January. 🙂 I am enjoying Damyanti’s book very much. Thanks for coming by!
