WELCOME BACK TO BOTB!
It’s time to announce the results of the Dec. 15th showdown.
BATTLE OF THE BANDS (BOTB), hosted by StMcC Presents Battle of the Bands is where you listen to different recordings and vote for the one you like best. Two “Battles” per month, on the 1st and 15th. (Please note: Effective July 2017, I switched to once a month on the 15th only. This will allow me more time to share other types of material with you.) Votes will be tallied and posted the following week.
I thought for sure, this was going to be a close battle, breaking the “blowout” streak, but, no! Personally, both versions appealed to me, however, Nathan’s voice grabbed me from the very first note, or as G-Dogg said: Literally within the first two seconds. Here’s the breakdown:

On a side note – mememe, I grew up in Niagara Falls, NY and its adjacent town Lewiston. Lewiston is still the same. Niagara Falls, NY, dependent on chemical factories billowing smoke in the air was, in hindsight, meant to have pieces of plywood nailed to shop windows in a ghost-town. As soon as you crossed the borders, even in the 70’s, Niagara Falls Canada was a much more aesthetic place. (mememe). Thank you for your forum.
Happy New Year, G-Dogg! 🙂 What a coincidence! We live about 45 minutes’ drive from Niagara Falls and will be heading there in a couple of hours for a New Year’s Eve party and overnight stay. The Canadian side is definitely much nicer if I do say so, myself. On the other hand, The American side did have Pete’s Market, the best (albeit rustic) steakhouse I can remember. Wonder if it’s still there! Thanks for dropping in. Wishing you all the best for 2019.
Yeah, I could already see the hand writing on the wall by the time I arrived to cast my vote for the los– er… for the “lesser vote-getter”. (But in keeping with the times, I feel Derik still deserves a trophy… just as soon as he fixes the spelling of his name. 😉
Well, DEBBIE, all I can say is: We’ve all had our blowouts, and they aren’t very exciting. But at least it wasn’t a shutout. Nuttin’ says “Bad BOTBer” like a shutout.

I sided with the winner but so did most everyone else. lol This was a very decisive victory with an overwhelming edge for the champ. I can’t believe Christmas is almost here! Have a funtastic holiday, dearie!

The ratio of your outcome was similar to my own. I’m not surprised by your outcome, but I guess that’s because my pick won so the outcome seems correct to me.
