WELCOME BACK TO BOTB!
It’s time to announce the results of the Nov. 15th showdown.
BATTLE OF THE BANDS (BOTB), hosted by StMcC Presents Battle of the Bands is where you listen to different recordings and vote for the one you like best. There are two “Battles” per month, on the 1st and 15th. (Some of us choose one date OR the other. Mine are scheduled for the 15th only.) Votes will be tallied and posted the following week. For a while, it looked like we were heading towards a dreaded shutout, but thankfully, that didn’t happen. Still, it was pretty lopsided. Michael Damian had a number one hit with this song, so I was a little surprised to see most of you preferred Def Leppard.
Then again, so did I. 🙂 Like Stephen, I’m not a huge fan of this band’s music, but loved their cover album, YEAH, and especially their hard-hitting rendition of ROCK ON. To see them perform it in concert was a real treat. Some bands excel at live shows and Def Leppard is right up there! Plus, as Gilly said, the “scenery” doesn’t hurt either. 🙂

I listened to the live track here. First time to see that video. Good cover of a cover tune.
83 % is a pretty decisive conclusion. It was nice to be on the winning team today.
Never got into Def L. Don’t know why. I guess I’m just an easy-listening and 60s rock kinda guy. Good post. As always!

Great song and not a bad Battle, either. Any time a shutout is avoided, that’s a win in my ‘Official Book Of BOTB’.
