In the original post, I lamented speeding downhill towards 60 and wanting to make up for lost time. My mission? To catch every favourite rock artist in concert, before they or I croaked. In other words, a concert “Bucket List”.

Read it HERE.

When I left off, we had just obtained tickets for Neil Young with Crazy Horse in Nov. and The Who in Feb. Both of those experiences were absolutely incredible and I was in a state of euphoria for days! Even more amazing now, I’m finally getting my chance to see:

throwing confetti

Many of you will scoff.

You: They’re so old!

Me: Yeah, so? They’re still talented and put on a great show. Besides, we’re old too.

You: The ticket prices are ridiculous!

Me: True! Our lousy seats in the nosebleed section, (that’s all we could afford),
cost more than the best seats at any other concert, but, I don’t care.
This is the first time I’ve been able to go and it’s now or never.
Can’t wait for June 6!

Old?? So what!!

Next up will be a third HEART concert on July 23. Those ladies were just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it was WAY overdue. Check out my recent article HERE.

Our last concert this year, (so far), slated for Aug. 14, will be none other than “The Prince of Darkness” himself, Ozzy Osbourne, reunited with Black Sabbath! I was thrilled to find out they were back together and recording a new album, but hadn’t considered getting tickets, (our budget was blown with the Stones). Much to my surprise, hubby expressed an interest when I read the concert announcement aloud, so I went ahead and made the purchase. I knew he was just humouring me with Mick & Co., because he doesn’t care for them, so I decided to add one he does like. (We both love Heart, so, that’s good.)

This should be interesting!

Yes indeed! 😀

life is good!

  2. Oh my friend I am loving this concert bucket list. There aren’t any on my list to see these days. But my favorites were Cher and Hall and Oates . Hugs and thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things hop xo

    1. Hi Katherine; Glad you enjoyed the post. 🙂 I love Cher too and have seen her live 3 times, back in the 70s. Twice with Sonny, (the 2nd time was after they got divorced – still great together!) and once after that on her own. She really knows how to put on a show and I love her personality! 🙂 Thanks for visiting.

  3. I just love your taste in music….much like mine. I think we would have an awesome time if we’d take a concert together!

We love Black Sabbath with Ozzy but there are also albums they did when Ronnie James Dio was the singer and my favorite singer by the way! I loved it.

Hope you’ve had a great day!

    1. We would have a fantastic time Corina! 😀 I completely agree about Ronnie James Dio. He was so good and what a sad day it was, when he passed away. R.I.P. ♥ Thanks for visiting.
