Blogfests, blogathons, blog carnivals, blog hops, or whatever you want to call them, are great ways to connect and increase your traffic, assuming of course, that you make the effort to network.
Some use these opportunities merely as link drops and that’s a shame. It can also apply to those hosting such events, so it’s best to be discerning and find the right ones. Last thing you want to do is waste your time.
Have I got a Blogfest for you!
Let’s make some new Bloggy Friends!

Join us on the 24th to 26th of July 2015 in sharing memories, emotions, information.
We’ll read and comment on each others’ posts, get to know each other better,

I’m in! Just 10 entries after yours, Debbie 😉 Looking forward to it–and to everyone else’s objects of memory and endearment 😀
Great! 🙂 The turnout has been excellent so far. See you there.
Up to 130 entries now! Awesome! 😀
Debbie you are an angel to share this! it’s just what I need. I truly hope to make new blogging friends through this. Thanks so much for sharing!
You’re welcome, Angelika. I loved the post you wrote and I’m sure others will also. 🙂
Cool idea, Debbie! Thanks for letting us know about this. Can you believe that I can’t think of one single item just now? Let me give some more thought and then come back if I do find one!
There’s plenty of time to decide, Corinne. 🙂 Lots of mutual friends have signed up, I see.
This does sound like a great blog hop but I have to think about it. Today is not a good day for thinking for me.
There’s plenty of time to decide, Birgit. 🙂 It should be lots of fun. Many people I know are doing this.
I don’t know if I will get to everyone’s blog, but it is a great topic. Thanks for posting.
My pleasure, Ann. See you there! 😀
I’m No.77. I’ve already got the post typed up and scheduled 🙂
Good to know, Madilyn! See you there. 🙂 I’m ready too.
This sounds like a good one, but the timing is inopportune for me. Have fun with it!
Lee
It should be fun, Lee, but I know you’re busy offline these days. Thanks for taking the time to drop by. Enjoy your holidays! 🙂
Hi, that’s an amazing initiative and is there is a specific prompt to participate.
Cheerz
Vishal
Yes, many people are interested in this one, Vishal. Great way to expand your blogging network and meet new people. 🙂
I have signed up for the Cherished Blogfest. Have to write my post now. 🙂
Great! See you there. 🙂 This is a popular one.
I hope you all enjoy what you’re doing. That’s the aim of a blog after all. It’s good to connect with other like-minded people.
Hi Francene; This one is shaping up to be quite popular! 🙂 Great way to connect with new people. Thanks for dropping in.
I have signed up Debbie. It’s just one post right on an object that we cherish. Correct?
Great! Looking forward to your post, Parul. 🙂 Yes, it’s about one item and you can post it any time between Friday and Sunday.
Never heard of a blog hop or blog carnival before! What is the latter? 😉 Also, not sure about “the code” in terms of when to use etc. Oh, and I have to think of my cherished object as I gave it away! Now I have to see what else I have! 😉 <3
Hi Elly; Blogfests, blogathons, blog carnivals, blog hops are all different words for the same thing. You participated in the A to Z Challenge, which is a big blogfest. 🙂 If you want to participate, all you have to do is add your blog link to the list, (where it says “You are next, Click here to enter), then publish your post between Friday, July 24 and Sunday, July 26. Of course, the idea is to visit others, comment on and share posts. Meet some new friends; reconnect with old ones, etc. Don’t worry about “the code”. That’s only required if you want to show the entire signup list on your blog like you see here.
Hey I’ve scheduled a post too! I usually don’t do bloghops; I only participated in A-Z last April. When I saw this, I thought why not! 😀
Yes, this one is fairly easy and appears to be popular. 🙂 I’ll look for your post. Thanks for dropping by.
I have no idea what this is about, but it appears to be something that interests you, Debbie. You have that aura of enthusiasm about you. It just glows… Have fun with this!
It’s a social networking event for bloggers, Myke. 🙂 Designed to make new friends, re-connect with old ones and increase interest (perhaps even gain new followers), for one’s blog. Not your thing, I imagine, but 120 people are interested, so far. Thanks for dropping in, though. Have a good week!
