My roommates hadn’t arrived yet, so I spent the next couple of hours ruminating.
What to do?
Can’t go back home…

There was a knock at the door and a young, pretty woman came in to tell me it was time for dinner. She sensed my distress and sat down on the bed. Tearfully, I explained the reason for my anguish and she hugged me. Told me that a new situation always takes getting used to and that I would enjoy it here, as the other students did. This was my first introduction to “Fraulein Paula”, the housemother and I felt slightly better after that.

The remaining students straggled in the next day, including my two roommates.
There was a lot of miming and sign language but
we had our own little United Nations going on and taught each other.
Despite our diverse backgrounds and differences, we blended well.
He was two years younger than me and like a little brother.
Field trips every weekend!

Hi Debbie, wish I’d had such an exciting start to life in my teens, I shall carry on ahead to the next instalment … Hope you’re having a great Sunday.. xxPenxx
Hi Pen; Glad you’re enjoying my little memoir. 🙂 It started and ended badly, but, there were some good times in between. Thanks for reading and have a good week.
You had an interesting childhood, Debbie. 🙂
Yes; not your average childhood. LOL Thanks for reading this next chapter too!
Dear Debbie, I am a “late-comer” but I am here now. it took me a while to read your blog completely, too much going on in our active traveling lifestyle.
I like it very much, you make it really interesting with the illustrations. There is also an advantage having already 6 chapters to read instead of having to wait patiently for a next one…..Thanks for providing a wonderful reading !
Greetings from the heart – Karin.
Hi Karin! So nice of you to take the time to read my blog. Glad you like it. 🙂
Hey I keep tuning into your Space
but part three is nowhere to be found
I think I might send the Skeletons
round soon and that should give you
the jolt needed to add part three 🙂
Have a lovely rest of week Debbie 😉

Well, first there was EURO 2012, which took up all of June, (hubby’s team lost in the final and my team lost to his team in the semi-final.
Also, it IS summer, which means spending more time outdoors and away from the computer. I HAVE started on part three actually, but seem to be having a spell of writer’s block. It will be completed soon, I hope and I also want to get caught up on your blog posts. Cheers!
You just have a nice time Debbie
and complete part three whenever
you feel like doing that, after all it
is more important enjoying life in
the real world and blogging when
there is less to do 🙂 The main thing
is to have lots of fun, so I will keep
popping in and I will see you here
after your break from blogging 🙂 😉

Hey I meant sooner though,
or I will be needing to read all
three at once 🙂
I hope you are enjoying
your Summer Debbie 😉 🙂

What a shame, to have your summer rained out! 🙁 Here’s hoping for a better Autumn.
I have a lot of catching up to do, LOL Cheers!
This is a riveting story Debbie but did you really get used to that sickly sweet black tea? 🙁 I mean it sounds soooooooooooo revolting… I can see from the picture that you are painting us that life was good, and getting even better as you take us through your wonderful adventure, hey I can’t wait for part three and whether Vaughan was another creepo or a very nice wicked and… Well don’t take too long or else? 🙂 🙂 lol
Have a wickedly enjoyable weekend Debbie 🙂 😉

Thanks for reading, Andro! 😀 I never really enjoyed the hot tea all that much, but, the cold wasn’t bad.
Stay tuned.

Thanks Chi Chi! 😀
Nice set-up for the interesting adventures to come, Deb. This could get very spicy!
Thanks for reading, G. Not too sure about the spicy part; I was only 13 and 14 at the time, LOL. It WAS interesting, though.
