This is my first time participating in a fun Friday tradition, hosted by
Hilary of Feeling Beachie
The premise is simple; just fill in the blanks.
This week’s statements:
1. My first car was a _____
2. My___ is so ____
3. I would drop everything to _____
4. I never tell people I once ____
Answers:
1. My first car was a 1971 Torino 500. Well, more specifically, it belonged to then future hubby, but he purchased it on my birthday, in Jan. 1972.
2. My house is so full of dogs right now, that we’re tripping over them. March is busy season at The Doglady’s Den.
3. I would drop everything to take a tour of Greece. This has been on my Bucket List since childhood. We are, in fact, going to do just that in September and I’m so excited!!! In celebration of our 40th anniversary, hubby and I will embark on a dream trip, which includes a two-week land and islands tour of Greece, plus time in Italy visiting family and friends and returning to my birthplace in Germany for the first time since 1972. Can’t wait!
4. I never tell people I once confided a secret and it came back to haunt me, so, I’m not telling one now! BOL!

Hi Debbie – this is fun!
1. My first car was a maroon second hand Triumph and didn’t last long!
2. My labrador’s so greedy he’s banned from the kitchen.
3. I’d drop everything to have a swim in the sea (but not off the UK coast – somewhere nice and warm, please!)
4. Now that would be telling, wouldn’t it?
Sue
A Triumph! I remember those. Too bad it didn’t last. I bet your Lab finds a way to get into the kitchen. LOL How about a Greek Island for swimming? We’re going there in Sept., but are more into ruins than beaches. Very few people answered that last one. 🙂 This is a fun Friday blog hop that I just discovered and every week there’s a new set of questions. Thanks for playing along!
Hi There, Had to tell you that I like your Website. You come across as a pretty switched on ‘Gal’ I have been ‘following you’ on Twitter (Mmm! Somehow that sound a tad shady) Ha ”
I am new at this Blogging lark ,but I quite enjoy ‘Having a go’ at it.
Learning all the time**
Have a great weekend *** Jo’ ‘-D
G’Day Jo! So nice to meet you! I followed back and see you’re in Australia. Major time zone difference. I’ve only been seriously blogging since last year and it’s definitely a learning experience. Glad you like my blog. It’s my creative outlet. 🙂 Saw “artist” in your profile as well. I’ll be checking out your site too. Hope you’re having a great weekend. Thanks so much for dropping in. Cheers!
What a great picture to have of your car back in the 70s – wow – you were a hippie! 🙂 Have fun in Greece! We spent a few vacations there doing what we love: Windsurfing. Which also meant we did not see the sights, but we still loved it. You’ll have fun. Where in Germany were you born?
Yup; that’s me. The eternal hippie/rockchick! 😀 I’m so glad to have discovered that photo at my mother’s house, while cleaning it out for sale. The car and the pup are gone now, but, I still have the poncho. LOL Even if you were windsurfing, the landscapes in Greece must have been spectacular! I’m an ancient history buff, so, we’ll be touring as many ruins as possible. I was born in Soest, Westfalia, which is about 115km east of Düsseldorf. Thanks for visiting Claudia and have a good weekend.
P.S. I just went back to your blog and read that you’re from Bielefeld. Small world! That’s only about 100km from Soest. My mother and grandparents lived in Bochum.
My mom is dying to go to Greece and take a tour around the islands there. It’s been a long time since you’ve been to Germany. So much has changed. Where were you born?
Yes; it’s been a very long time and I can imagine much has changed. Some things will surely be familiar, though. 🙂 I was born in Soest, Nordrhein-Westfalen and my mother came from Bochum, which is only one hour away by car. I’m so thrilled to be fulfilling this travel dream at last! Thanks for visiting, Susi.
Schönes Wochenende!
We are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary this year as well. We are cruising Norway, Scotland and Ireland. We are also cruising the Mediterranean in the fall. Happy Anniversary!

Hehehe. Excellent point with number four! Your first car sounds fabulous! Hardtop or convertible? Thanks for dropping by, Linda. 🙂
It was a hardtop, kept it for a while then sold it so we could have a family car….
That’s what happened to my Nova…that and the fact it was falling apart! Debbie, Have a fabulous time on your dream trip!!! Sounds just wonderful and if you weren’t going on an anniversary trip, I’d go with you! LOL
They were practical little cars. 😀 I’m so happy we’re finally going on this trip! Hard to believe it’s really happening. Thanks for visiting, Loy. Have a good weekend.
Those were the “good old days”. 😀 I loved my Z28, especially. ♥
