To commemorate Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017, giant mosaic murals were created in communities across the country. They were composed of 750 individually painted tiles, contributed by people of all ages.

Welcome to The Den, Lydia. This is the post that I linked up to Keith’s. 🙂 If you want to visit his post, I have made reference to it within the page. Thanks for coming by!
Thank you, Thomas! 🙂 I loved that Clint Eastwood movie, but his car was a 1972 Gran Torino Sport. Ours was a 1971 Torino 500. It looked cool, but was a real lemon, mechanically. 😛 Lots of problems with the starter, etc.
Such wonderful memories and I love the fact that many held such pretty shades of aquamarine, Debbie! Pretty color on you, too! Love the suburban Toronto and the shot of you in Old Town! I was just there myself on Friday! Great to see all the public art and how the colors pop in the murals! Have a great week!
To be honest, I was surprised to find so many photos that fit the theme. 🙂 That outfit was a favourite and I pretty much wore it out over the years. Margaritas at Old Town were a must on every trip I took to San Diego. 😀 Hope you enjoyed your stop there last week. Has it changed much? I think my favourite restaurant, El Fandango is gone. 🙁 I’m glad you enjoyed the various art displays as well.
You seem to have just the photo to meet the color challenge. In my opinion, aquamarine isn’t an easy one. Bodies of water like yours is a really good example of aquamarine. The car you’re standing in front of, what is it? It reminds me of an Oldsmobile. My parents had one in the early 70s that was two-tone like this except instead of aquamarine, it was light blue. That was the first car to have AC which we thought was super cool! 🙂
I have thousands of photos to choose from, which helps a lot! 🙂 The car is a 1971 Ford Torino 500. It looked cool, but in reality was a lemon. Lots of mechanical issues, especially with the starter! 😛 Unlike you parents’ car, it didn’t have air conditioning. Thanks for coming by, Cathy.

I like this aquamarine color very much, it is beautiful and warm and peaceful.
It is a lovely colour. Thanks for visiting my blog today, Jean. 🙂 Have a good weekend.
Love your choices for the colour challenge, Debbie.
The mosaic statue in Park Guell is my favourite.
Happy Friday!
Thank you, Veronica! 🙂 Park Guell is an amazing place, and so is the rest of Barcelona. 💖
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Hugs. ♥
Thank you, Sandee. 🙂 Have a good weekend.
Aquamarine is a lovely colour and your pictures did it proud – especially the ‘snazzy’ Ford!
Thanks for the link.
Thank you, Keith. 🙂 That snazzy Ford looked cool, but was a real lemon. Lots of mechanical problems. 😛
Came to read your #KeithsRambling post but not sure where it is?

Lovely pic!! Thanks
Glad you enjoyed them Lydia! 🙂 Thank you.
Those are some amazing choices in photos. Love them!
Thank you so much, Kirstin! 🙂
Beautiful artistic pictures and it is fun to see the old photos. You had a Torino, like Clint Eastwood.

Ouch I am sorry to hear you got a lemon
Love all the colors and happy 150 years, Canada.
Have a fabulous day and week, Debbie. Hugs. ♥
Thank you , Sandee! 🙂 Canada’s 150th birthday was a fun, yearlong celebration. Mine will only be the one day. 😉 (And, thankfully, I’m not THAT old!)
It’s almost your birthday – how exciting! I enjoyed the photos today with the pretty colors.
Well, I’m not sure how exciting it is to be another year older, but I’ll enjoy the party, regardless. 😀 Thanks, Carol! Glad you like the photos.

Great choices, for the colour challenge, Debbie. I have been to Parc Guell, and love it there.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thank you, Pete! 🙂 Park Guell is amazing, along with the rest of Barcelona. 💖
A brilliant selection of colour and memories Debbie and Happy Birthday for later in the week.. ♥
