Only 73 days until Spring!

❄❄🥶🥶🥶❄❄

Thankfully, these types of severe storms are less frequent than they used to be! We had a couple in November, which was unseasonably early.

The snow all disappeared before Christmas, and we’ve only had a light dusting here and there since then. The bulk of it falls from January to March.

  1. WOW! Forgive me for being behind but I’m trying to catch up. – These photos are spectacular! It’s hard to pick a favorite but if I had to it would be “Coming Down Hard.” That should be a huge canvas hanging in someone’s home, like mine! 🙂

    1. No problem; I’m trying to catch up, as well. 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for the compliment! ? One of these days, I’m going to explore ways to market my photos better, like turning them into posters, etc.

    1. From afar would be my preference, too. 🙂 Winter scenery does make for nice photos. Thank you! You might want to defer your visit to Canada until May or June. 😉

  2. What gorgeous pics of the snowfall. I am so envious as I love snow and would love to be in a place where its snowing.

Wish you a very happy new year Debbie – enjoy the winters.

    1. And, I would rather be someplace hot! 🙂 I can’t wait for winter to be over, but yes, it does photograph nicely. Happy New Year to you, too. Thanks for coming by.

    1. Hello cat, my friend! 🙂 I bet you’re “thrilled” to be back in the cold after your lovely, southern holiday. We haven’t had much snow this winter, other than a couple of early blasts in November. The weekend calls for torrential downpours on Sat. and an ice storm on Sunday. Yuck!! I think snow would be preferable. Thank you for visiting!

      1. I laughed out loud at your comment, friend D cuz, due to not having my glasses on, I misread it for “… nice and crazy” 🙂 Also, did you see the paw print of my dog Piwo (RIP) beside the globe? Also, did you see Theo Thunderbutt’s totally shredded scratch pole 🙂 Anyway … Babv, it’s “arsch kalt” outside so bundle up, eh? Love, cat.

        1. I’m sorry about your dog! ? I thought the pawprint was a coaster. Yes, I did see Theo’s scratch pole. Better that than the furniture. My friend’s cat completely ignores his and has torn up the couch. ? Try and keep warm. That TV fireplace won’t help much. Wish we had a real one, too!

    1. Oh, trust me, you’d be fed up with it! 😀 I just saw your photo – it’s lovely! That must have been an exciting trip. Thanks for coming by.

  3. You could just about put all of the snow we got in our freezer! Speaking of which, I have a Pepsi Zero in there…

  4. What stunning winter pics, Debbie! We haven’t had snow in our area, yet, however, every now and then we have some. I like snow and was hoping we would have a white Christmas but not this year!

    Happy Wednesday and stay warm.

    1. Thanks, Eugenia! 🙂 We didn’t have a white Christmas either, but there was some snow before that. Not much since, and the current forecast calls for rain. These photos are all older ones. Cheers!

  5. Such amazing and magical winter captures. Though the winter storms and blizzards can be pretty dangerous and of course seriously cold, they do make for beautiful pictures!!

  6. I love southern Ontario. Why, heck, I love all of Ontario! Nice to see pictures of the snow–better than being in it. I’m getting too old to be out in the cold. I’m cold here in southern California!

    1. I agree; pictures of snow are preferable to the reality! 😛 Thankfully, our winters have generally been less severe in recent years. You sound like my mother, Lee! 🙂 She lived in San Diego, yet complained of cold, as well. ? Thanks for coming by!

  7. Love your pictures which you really know how to capture something and make it magical. We are supposed to get smacked this Saturday but we may just get rain. I like snow and I don’t ski or anything.

    1. Thank you, Birgit. 🙂 Snow is nice in photos, but I could live without the reality. I heard we’re supposed to have a major downpour on Saturday, followed by an ice storm on Sunday. Oh, joy! ??

  8. Sigh, I wish we had any snow. It only rains here in Norfolk UK. The last snow we had was in February 2018. But that was a bugger known as “The Beast from the East”

    1. Yes, we suffered our own “Polar Vortex” at that time. I remember winters in Nordrhein-Westfalen as a child and they were similar to England – rain, rain, rain. Thanks for visiting. Alles Gute! 🙂

  9. So beautiful. We don’t live in snow country, but it sure is beautiful.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Debbie. ♥

    1. Beautiful in photos, but I could live without the reality! 🙂 It would be nice to spend winters in your part of the world. Thanks for coming by, Sandee!

  10. I enjoyed your wintry photos looked really nice and festive too, we haven’t had snow yet this year in London just the usual rain heheh!

    Have a snowytastic week 🙂

  11. We all love winter with lots of cold and snow and the shorter days that make humans slow down and relax more. Winter is our favorite season. Not many feel that way, but we love it and are hoping for many more snowstorms here at our house.

    1. All the dogs I know love playing in the snow. 🙂 Personally, I’d be happy without it, but it does photograph well. ❄ Thanks for dropping in, Madison!

  12. Debbie,

The snow is absolutely beautiful but I like it where it is and where’s not the best right now. lol The Niagara Falls photo is really cool! Did you notice in your next to the last photo of your street, how one of the lights refracts forming a heart? Nice shot! Happy WW and welcome back to Blogosphere, dearie!

    1. Hi Cathy, These photos are all from years past. We haven’t had much snow to speak of since early Dec. That’s fine with me! 🙂 You have a keen eye! I didn’t notice the heart pattern until you mentioned it. Thanks for dropping by!

  13. Thanks Debbie – lovely photos and fun to see … and the weather is changing … and has been doing for 50 or so years. Just glad to avoid the snow … but I’d love to see Niagara one day … cheers Hilary

    1. Winter photographs nicely, but I could sure live without it. 🙂 Yes, thankfully, the weather has been less severe in our area recently. Niagara Falls is one of the world’s natural splendours. We have been there numerous times and it’s always thrilling. Thanks for coming by, Hilary. Have a good weekend!
