Debbie,
These views are something straight out of a Hollywood film scene. Purrhaps, a 007 or MIA production. That Monastery is awesome! Thanks for sharing such cool images with us today, my furriend! Have a #WildWednesday!
Funny you should say that, Cathy! 🙂 The Bond film. “For Your Eyes Only” filmed some scenes at the Meteora monasteries in Greece. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for coming by!
That monastery would fit in L.A. as a celebrity mansion. Problem here is that they likely wouldn’t build on a rock and it would end up sliding down a hillside or getting consumed in a wildfire.
Sure is a neat looking place though.

Tossing It Out
That is only one of several monasteries in Meteora, all carved into the mountains! We climbed over 300 steps to get to one of them, with a rest stop in the middle. It ws brutal but worthwhile. 🙂
I think my roof would be boring.
Coffee is on
Mine too, Dora. 🙂 That’s why I branched out. Thanks for coming by!
I am fascinated with architecture in Europe. It has so much personality and such a warm feeling. Those roofs are most interesting, Debbie!
Thanks, Eugenia! Europe is a feast for the eyes, and also the palate. 🙂
I so want to go back to Europe…It will be a while but this looks so great that i long to be there
Europe will always be there, Birgit, in all its glory! 🙂 Hope you are able to go, soon.
WOW!!!! Boy, I bet they didn’t count on you showing up for that foto challenge! Holy crow! It’s like you cornered the market on rooftop photos! 😀 – Breathtaking…
Thanks for that high praise, but there were actually a few people with similar European photos. 🙂 My favourite is the Malta one. ? It’s framed and hanging on my living room wall.
OMG!! Such gorgeous views!! Loved the overviews of Valletta and Florence. I am imagining the sunset at Oia. It would be so picturesque. Great captures, Debbie!
Thanks, Shilpa! 🙂 Those two are my favourites as well. ? The Oia sunset attracts tourists in droves, so it is very crowded. Still worth it, though!
You make me want to drop everything and go to Greece. The pictures are beautiful.
Thank you! 🙂 Southern Europe is fabulous – not only Greece but Malta and Italy, too. ?
So many scenic views, and so little shade… These are some breath taking images, Debbie.
Yup; it’s hot there in the summer, but, a lack of humidity makes it more bearable. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos, Myke. Thank you! 🙂 Malta is my favourite! ?
How lovely!
Thanks, Denise. These are some of the better photos. 🙂
