LIQUID literally #PhotoBlogChal Raining in the lake bitmoji

LIQUID is this month’s theme for L’il HooHaa’s  Photo Blogging Challenge

Tough subject, at least for me, as nothing inspiring came to mind. How to make it interesting was the dilemma.

Here’s  what I came up with:

1) HUNTER’S MOON RISING OVER LAKE ONTARIO
(Area 18,960 km². That’s a lot of liquid!)
Sunday, October 13/19, 7:08-7:52 p.m.

2) CELEBRATORY LIQUID(S)
(Make your own special occasion by toasting life!)

3) THINGS GO BETTER WITH COKE®
(We kept these artistic bottles as collectors’ items. Yes, we are pack rats! 🙂 )

4) MORE LAKE ONTARIO
(Sundown at the Harbour)

5) MAKE IT RAIN
(No; make it stop!)

  1. I like your selections for the liquid theme. The moonrise is really nice and the setup for the coke bottles is nice. Well done!

  2. Love the fall colors, we don’t get that much in Texas. We usually just jump Summer into Winter. I like the car lights in the rain too. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Great pictures, as always! Loved the moon rising over lake Ontario and rain pic. Those Coke bottles are lovely, havent seen them in our part of the globe!

  4. Deb, these are spectacular photos! My gosh they need to be framed – especially the moon over the lake and the Coke bottles. Stunning! 🙂 x

  5. I always love moonscapes over water. Lovely! And what a fun collection of Coke bottles! I love them. I usually toast life with a nice glass of red wine. 🙂 The colors in your Lake Ontario shot are stunning. Autumn is my favorite season.

    1. Thanks, Lisa. 🙂 We were at a local park when that spectacular moon emerged from the lake. Perfect timing! 😀 There was some Merlot in the wine fountain for that photoshoot. Cheers! ? Yes, we finally saw decent autumn colours toward the end of October. It was relatively mild until then. Not liking November, so far. 😛

  6. My goodness, it seems you had no trouble at all with this challenge. That arrangement of Hunter Moon photos is particularly stunning. And the fall colour of the leaves makes me just a little bit jealous that our local deciduous trees lost most of their leaves back in September.

    1. Thanks, Denise. 🙂 I had the moon shots already, but it took me a few days to come up with the rest. I’m glad you enjoyed the post. We live in the so-called “banana belt” (aka Carolinian Canada), so our temperatures are generally not as cold. Cheers!

  7. Great pictures, and very diverse! Even the rain looks “nice” (especially viewing it from the comfort of my warm and dry office building!)
I’ve never seen these artsy Coke bottles.
    Is the harbor in Toronto?

    1. Thanks, Tamara! 🙂 I thought the rain shot was cool, too. That harbour is in our suburban enclave, southwest of the city, about a 10-minute walk from my house. It’s a picturesque town!

  8. Sundown at the Harbour is a visual delight. That image would make a brilliant 750 pc. jigsaw puzzle, to sit on a coffee table, in a back-of-the-house den, as an ongoing group project, assembled by family and friends, with no end in sight. But, once completed, this would surely be a puzzle that gets laminated, framed, and hung on a prominent wall.

  9. You had me with the boats. Now you’re talking.

    1. Bloody hell! I’m so sorry, Mimi. 🙁 It was fixed yesterday, but the plugin I suspected was the cause did another update. I’ve completely disabled it, for now. HOPEFULLY, that will solve it. 😛 And thanks; glad you like the photos.

  10. Debbie,

You did fabulous for the prompt. I love the fall foliage along the water – just beautiful! We did manage to spot the Hunter Moon in the early evening. It was big and beautiful. We were just about home when we spied it in the sky but by the time we got home, we couldn’t see it. I think it was too low in the sky and the trees blocked our view. If I had known then we could’ve found a place for me to do a quick click with my phone. The next night, we hoped to see it again but it was too cloudy. Your shots turned out nice. I don’t think I’ve seen Coke bottles like these. Don’t worry we’re pack rats, too. I’m trying to not be but old habits die hard. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Cathy; I was trying to make it interesting. 🙂 We were at a local park when that spectacular moon rose up from the lake. Talk about right place, right time! Those Coke bottles were a limited edition issue from a few years ago. Hubby wanted to hang onto them, in case they increased in value. Apparently, there’s a market for those types of collectibles. Thanks for coming by and have a lovely Sunday!

  11. Hi Debbie – Lake Ontario looks beautiful and on my bucket list! On your drive home it looks like a pumpkin! That picture is very cool. Those Coke bottles are very creative too. I bet you could sell those online Deb.

    1. HI Lisa; I’m glad you liked the photos! 🙂 A few years ago we took a road trip all the way around Lake Ontario. Lots of beautiful sights! Hope you are able to visit, one of these days. I will check online about the Coke bottles. Thanks for coming by!
