Okay, this one was a bit of toughie. I mean, the number six? Doesn’t really lend itself to much on the imagination scale, or, does it? But, we are celebrating the 6th anniversary of L’il HooHaa’s Photo Blogging Challenge, so, let’s do it!
There’s 666, the devil’s number, or sixpence, an old British coin, or six of one, half a dozen of the other. How to make “six” interesting? Here’s what I came up with:
1) As mentioned previously, I’m a packrat and collect all kinds of stuff, including fridge magnets.
Here are six that best describe me:
2) A total music fanatic, my collection goes back to the 1960s, including vinyl albums and 45s, cassettes and CDs.
These are six favourite artists (of many):
3) Dinner at six pm. A little chicken and spinach linguine, with a lovely glass of Pinot Grigio:
4) Six painted paw prints on pavement, part of a “hopscotch” type game in the neighbouring schoolyard:
5) The 6ixth; downtown sales office for an upcoming townhouse development.
The “urban sprawl” in our once charming little suburb is getting ridiculous!
I wonder where all these buyers are coming from…:

I like your choices for the month! I like the paws one. And I guess… it’s six o’clock somewhere? 😀
Your dinner looks so good Debbie! And I’d love to know more about the paw print game! How adorable! 🙂 Hope your April break helps.
Girl, I love the “let there be six” idea! Super creative and it allows the reader to have a view of the life o’ Debbie! What could be better than than?
I’m glad you like the photos, Cheryl! 🙂 Thanks for coming by, especially since you’re busy with the A to Z Challenge. I’ve enjoyed your posts!
Very creative and I too, love refrigerator magnets, can you have too many of them? If you’re a packrat I’m asking the wrong person, lol. Six things that are six? Well the six ball was me when we played with pool balls like dolls, six is one of my favorite numbers, I multiply by six when setting goals for lap swimming, my Sweet Sixteen was a very nice memory in high school, I called the Sistine Chapel the Sixteen Chapel when I was a kid and we visited Rome, and there are six letters in my name.
Hahaha! Yes, we packrats can never have enough of anything. 😀 Great job listing things with the number six in them. “Sixteen Chapel” gave me a chuckle. Thanks for dropping and apologies for the late reply. I took a little break from online activities.
Hi Debby – thanks for popping over to my blog – re the monthly #WAWTB on Book Aid International. I tried to come by before … but seem always to lose my way around your amazing set up here … got here now. Six of everything … I must have at least that number of things to do today … so will get on – take care and enjoy Spring and all the fun warmer weather brings us. Cheers Hilary
Sorry you had trouble finding your way around, Hilary. 🙁 Clicking on “Blog” in the top menu here always brings you to the latest posts. If you’re looking at my Google Blogger profile (which connects to comments I leave on your blog), clicking on “My Web Page” has the same result. Book Aid is a terrific idea and I kicked in a donation, as well. Hope you got a good response from others! Thanks for persevering and reading this. Spring has forgotten to show up, so far, but we’re hoping it will get here, soon. Cheers!
Thanks Debbie – thanks for the reply and hints … I hope not to jump through quite so many hoops next time – just need to learn my way around … and thanks so much for the donation … did you see – Book Aid “unknown” came over to comment – which was nice of them … cheers Hilary
Sorry; this is a self-hosted website, of which the blog is one section. A little different from Blogger, which is why I set up a Blogger page. It was supposed to make things easier, but, apparently not? 🙁 Anyway, you have visited me in the past and nothing much has changed here in a couple of years…
Back to Book Aid; I did see their comment and have shared the organization on Twitter and Facebook. Hopefully, that will get a few nibbles. 🙂
One can never have enough clever refrigerator magnets… My daughter sent me a picture of a new vinyl record she just bought… I had no idea she owned a record player.
Ain’t that the truth! 😀 I love collecting stuff. Vinyl has made a comeback in recent years, so they must be manufacturing record players again. I have two; one from 1973 and the one in the photo from about 10 years ago. Includes radio, CD and cassette players. Thanks for dropping in!
I love love love that hopscotch, girl! Very rad and cool things. Thanks for sharing!
That schoolyard is full of games painted on the asphalt and also a giant map of Canada. Lots of fun for the kids. 😀 Thanks for coming by. I’ll be making the rounds, shortly.
great job, creative look at finding sets of 6
Thanks, Bryan! 🙂 It took me a while to come up with these. I guess that’s where the “challenge” part comes in. Cheers!
Debbie, I love the 6th housing development. Very nice logo. Nice music collection. I think the paws prints in the school yard is great. Have a nice day. Sylvia D.
Thanks for coming by, Sylvia. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos. Cheers! 🙂
It seems that scratching your head produces excellent results! The collections of six things offer up a bit of your personality. My music collection spans the 60s to present day – it’s been of great help to our oldest son who is taking 20th century music appreciation as his last non-science elective as he finishes up university this spring. 🙂 As for the fridge magnets, the “growing older isn’t for sissies” one tells it like it is for sure, but the explore more/adventure awaits message really resonates for me.
Music is a wonderful study topic! I’m sure your son will ace that course. 🙂 I’m always up for a new adventure. That magnet was from our 24-day cruise last fall. Thanks for coming by, Denise. Apologies for the late response.
Bravo on tying Six in with other topics. That first magnet is me all. the. way. I also have music from the 60s all the way up to current hits in my music library. Pasta….what’s not to love?! Well done!
Nice to know we have a few things in common, Lisa. 🙂 Thanks for coming by. Sorry for the late response.
Our refrigerator is crazy with magnets! Ours are mostly places we’ve been (my wife tries to by magnets for all the places that impress her most and there have been a lot of them). Unfortunately several have been knocked off and gotten broken, but the doors are still covered with them.
Arlee Bird
Our fridge has many destination magnets as well. Fun to look at and remember the trips, yes? 🙂 Thanks for dropping in, Arlee. Sorry for the late response. I’ve been enjoying some of your A to Z posts.
Hey Debbie,
Are you doing a BoTB for the 1st? I appreciate you swinging by yesterday to vote. This is a cool little blogfest. I like the refrigerator magnets, especially the one about growing old isn’t for sissies. 🙂
I hope y’all will find time to check out my Little Mermaid Art Sketch series beginning with ARIEL on Curious as a Cathy!!
Hi Cathy! ☺️ I only do one BOTB per month, on the 15th, but I’ll swing by later to see your first A to Z post. Thanks for coming by here. That quote about getting old is definitely true!
I love the prompts that leave you scratching your head and tap your creativity.
You sure went through the month of March with your eyes open! Extra credit for timing your dinner to 6 o’clock sharp 😉
Happy April Fools’ Day!
Yes, this one took a little thought! As for the dinner hour, clocks can be manipulated. 😉 (It really was around 6 pm, though.) Thanks for checking out my entry, Tamara. Sorry for the late response. I’ve been offline more, lately. How’s the A to Z going? I’ve been reading some of your posts. Thumbs up!
I own just one of those cds… Have I ever told you the Steppenwolf story? When my Mom passed, I traded my older sister for her Steppenwolf debut lp (complete with a cornflake fragment stuck right in the middle of Born To Be Wild- no lie!). I gave her three of Mom’s records- two Andy Williams and a Nat King Cole. Dumbest trade I ever made, in hindsight.
So, I guess you’re not a Steppenwolf fan, then?
Not that, just I would appreciate the Andy Williams more now…
I get that. ☺️ My preference would still be Steppenwolf. ?
I love your taste in music, Debbie D. And urban development – I live near Atlanta, Ga, and urban development took over this area a long time ago. Now it’s creeping toward our quaint little mountain town, Blue Ridge, Ga, which I hate to see this happening.
My six favorite things – classic rock and roll music, cats, clothes, red wine, mountains, writing.
Make it a great day!
Hi Eugenia: I’m trying to get caught up on comment responses. Sorry for being so late! Nice to learn we have a few things in common, although I prefer dogs and white wine. Music bonds people, though! 🙂 Thanks for coming by. I’ll be back to your sites, soon. Cheers!
