Makes sense. From my mid-teens to about my mid-’20s, I frequently took pictures with an all-mechanic lens camera (Pentax MX) and had different lenses including a zoom. I still remember taking pictures with a zoom can be challenging, especially when you don’t have a stand.
True! They don’t allow DSLR cameras into concert venues, though, so I use my little “point and shoot” Canon Powershot. It’s pretty good and better than my old Samsung smartphone.
So you went to the May 23rd concert. I have to admit I thought Joan Jett and Billy Idol had retired or died. It was a while since heard them, but then I don’t listen to music that much.
😆 They are younger than me, Thomas, and still going strong. 👌 Classic rock radio plays their music a lot, but you probably have different tastes. This post was more about the visuals, anyway. I love taking concert photos! 📷

My last concert was Paul McCartney, June of 2019 in Arlington, Texas. It was AMAZING!
Great pics, Debbie. I guess now I can see why you’re not settling for the bleachers when you go to shows! 🙂
Thanks! 🙂 I have a zoom lens, but it’s not much good when too far away. 📷

Wow, Debs, …you must’ve had a great ‘rock on’ time, …there’s nothing to beat the atmosphere of a well organised live concert, … 💫🤗💕💫
We sure did, Penny! 😀 Concerts are my “Fountain of Youth” and favourite social activity. As you said, nothing beats that atmosphere! 💖
You do the coolest things. This is a concert I would love to see.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Debbie. Hugs. ♥
Concerts are my “thing”, Sandee. 😀 Especially now, since travel is not so practical anymore. Have a great rest of the week!
Looks like a great gig, and they are both looking good for their age too. (66 and 69. Incredible!)
Best wishes, Pete.
It was a memorable night, Pete. 🙂 I was especially impressed with Billy Idol. So much charisma and energy!
I really envy you. I would have loved to be there. Both are two of my favourites and their records regularly played on Gold radio.

It was a memorable event! 🙂 And don’t they look great? 👌 Our classic rock channel plays their music all the time, too.
