I’m on another concert high, so these artists are on my mind just now. Enjoy! 🤘

Joan Jett (born Joan Marie Larkin; September 22, 1958) is an American rock singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actress. Often referred to as the “Godmother of Punk”, she is regarded as a rock icon and an influential figure in popular rock music.
Jett co-founded and performed with the Runaways from 1975 to 1979, with whom she released four albums. After their dissolution, she formed the independent record label Blackheart Records with producer Kenny Laguna. She founded Joan Jett and the Blackhearts as her backup band in 1979; during this time, she released her solo debut album, Bad Reputation. With the Blackhearts, Jett has released twelve albums, three of which have been certified platinum or gold. Additionally, eleven of their singles have appeared on the Billboard Hot 100.
Jett was included on Rolling Stone’s 2003 and 2023 lists of the greatest guitarists of all time. In 2015, she and the Blackhearts were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Outside of music, she headlined the film Light of Day in 1987 and has appeared in several television series. She is also recognized for her activism. – WIKIPEDIA

William Michael Albert Broad (born 30 November 1955), known professionally as Billy Idol, is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. Idol achieved fame in the 1970s on the London punk rock scene as the lead singer of Generation X. He later embarked on a solo career which led to international recognition and made him a lead artist during the MTV-driven “Second British Invasion” in America.
Idol began his music career in 1976 as a guitarist in the punk rock band Chelsea, but left the group after a few weeks and formed Generation X with his former Chelsea bandmate Tony James. With Idol as lead singer, the band achieved success in the UK and released three studio albums on Chrysalis Records before disbanding. In 1981, Idol moved to New York City to pursue his solo career in collaboration with guitarist Steve Stevens. His debut studio album Billy Idol (1982) was a commercial success, and Idol became a staple of the then-new television channel MTV with the music videos for his singles “Dancing with Myself” and “White Wedding“.
Idol’s second studio album Rebel Yell (1983) was a major commercial success, featuring hit singles “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face“. The album was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling 2 million copies in America. He then released Whiplash Smile (1986), the greatest hits album Idol Songs: 11 of the Best (1988), Charmed Life (1990), and the concept album Cyberpunk (1993). – WIKIPEDIA

Two electric artists in one night. WOW, that must have been exciting to see! What memories you carry with you of such fun events. 🙂 Thanks for sharing and for joining the 4M party, Debbie. Have a boogietastic week, darlin’! xo
It sounds like you had a wonderful time and all the clips from the show make this post Debbie – no wonder you are still on a concert high!
A dynamic duo of rockers Deb. I enjoyed reading the mini biopics on Joan and Billy. 🙂
I (almost) went to a JJ concert many moons ago. I was just getting started with my future ex, and House Of Lords was about halfway thru their opener when she claimed she saw her brother (her family was a bit of a challenge) and wanted to leave. In retrospect, I think she spotted an old boyfriend. Either way, I wasn’t used yet to a full-on concert, and not a huge JJ fan, so I went along with it. If not for the kids and the grandies, I’d have been better off leaving her to flee and sticking it out, lol!
A great share! This sounds like a fun evening 👍
What fun! I saw Billy Idol, of all places, at Brock University! I remember dancing to Mony Mony and that song where the women slap their own asses..can’t re all the song, anyways, I was so close to the stage I could have leaped on it. He was great!
Love Joan Jett but, back in 1982, I was on Graz, and my cousin and another cousin and her fiancé, took me to a disco( not before driving on the Autobahn in his Astin Martin which was fab). No one was asking me to dance, they were asking the other 2, typical for me. The other cousin said to the guy, to take me up to the dance floor. I was feeling like an old rubber sole but he obliged and her song came on, “I Love Rock N’ Roll” and…he proceeded to slowly point…everywhere. he would go on one knee, and point and then slowly went to the other knee..and point, very and Mos painfully, slow. I tried to move away and dance on my own. Thankfully, the song ended, I said bye bye and went back to my seat promptly telling them to never do that again. Lol
What a concert this must have been with these two greats. Billy Idol can still do a great Rebel Yell after all these years, too. A great song collection today. Alana ramblinwitham
Very nice. Love it. Two of the greats.
Two for the price of one here. I liked both Joan in the Runaways and Billy in Generation X
Never saw Idol live, but Joan Jett does a great show. Glad you enjoyed
Fun! Fun! Fun! And great pictures, Debbie!👍I also like the YouTube clips. Both Joan Jett and Billy Idol still sound great. I saw Joan Jett and the Blackhearts open for The Who in 2015 – they were really fun! Unfortunately, I haven’t seen Billy. I like a good deal of his music and definitely would be game seeing him when an opportunity arises! His guitarist Steve Stevens is a beast!
Great choices, Debbie. Joan is always worth watching, and Billy’s ‘Rebel Yell’ and ‘White Wedding’ are firm favourites of mine.
Best wishes, Pete.
Hey there Rock Chic, … thanks for sharing such interesting background info, it’s surprising to me, that we forget so many music icons, …actually scrub that, I mean not forget exactly, just forget to remember, … I’m listening to Billy Idol, and I’ll be playing the others throughout the day, …Rock on Debbie, …🎶🎶🎶
