  1. I listened to the entire set and it went back around without me realizing it while working in the kitchen. Thanks for providing some fabulous music to rock out with as I make potato salad. lol

  2. I’m going to come back to listen to your playlist when I have time to stay plugged in. You’re welcome to join the linky party this week if you wish, but don’t feel obligated. I noticed you had some international artists and that’s this week’s theme. 🙂 I’ll be back…I promise! 😉

  3. Hi Debbie – I’m sure I’d enjoying hearing them all … but good to see others’ recommendations – enjoy and cheers Hilary

    1. Thanks, Patrick! 🙂 I thought of including Lita Ford, but felt the playlist was already too long. I might do a part 2. In the meantime:

    1. I’m sorry, Glynn, but I don’t know who that is. Did you perhaps mean Laura Nyro? She was good, but doesn’t fit the theme for this playlist, which is hard rock and metal. Thanks for coming by and have a good weekend. 🙂

  4. Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, and Grace Slick. Three of my favourites there. I would add Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders to that list, Debbie.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. Nice to see we like some of the same artists, Pete! 🙂 Chrissie Hynde has a great voice, but The Pretenders are more soft rock/alt rock. This playlist’s theme is hard rock and metal. Thanks for weighing in and have a good weekend!

  5. I put your YouTube link in my bookmarks, you have there interesting videos and it takes time to watch them all but little by little it will be done 😊 Cool playlist, they rocked really hard and it also was too much for some of them including the audience👍Rock on Debbie👍👍👍

    1. Thank you, Jean! I truly appreciate your continued support. 🌹 Yes, this was a list of the hardest rocking females I like. Haha! No such thing as too much when it comes to rocking out! 😉

  6. Thanks for the chance to rock ‘n roll, Debbie, …the song which really got to me was White Rabbit, … Strange how certain songs just stay with you , and when you hear them again memories surface, … It’s one of Rob‘s favourites too, so we’ll be asking Alexa to play it again and again. Thanks for the sharing uplift, the music and the memories. Lots of love to Canada, 💕

    1. Yes, White Rabbit is a personal favourite for me as well. 🙂 There’s nothing better than music to trigger those memories. Thanks for coming by, Penny! Have a lovely weekend. 💕

  7. I didn’t do too well on this quiz, but I will pass the course since I knew some of the names at least. I like Janis Joplin. You did a wonderful job on this compilation of women rockers!

  8. I knew 10 acts, And believe it or not, 10 songs! You Better Run was always my PB favorite. Imma check some of these others out later at bar time tonite.

    1. I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve never heard of the band “Fanny”. 😳 I guess they didn’t get a lot of airplay in Canada. 🤔 Anyway, thanks for the introduction, John. I sampled the playlist and agree they were kick-ass. 👌

  9. I love Janis Joplin. Suzie Quatro and Pat Benatar had some great songs as well! There are many other female artists who rock, at least in my book: Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge are two who come to mind. 🙂

    1. HI Christian! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed some of these artists. I agree, there are many excellent female musicians, including Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge. The criteria for this playlist was hard rock and metal, though. Both ladies are more blues and folk rock.

  10. I was never a huge fan of Janis Joplin, but she did know how to belt out a tune. Personally I prefer vocalists with smoother sounds like Grace Slick, the Wilson sisters, and I love Pat Benatar. Glad to see you included Lee Aaron and Lisa Dalbello, who I used to listen to a lot in the eighties.

    Lee

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed the playlist, Lee, Janis excepted. 🙂 And I’m thrilled you’re familiar with Canadian rockers Lee Arron and Lisa DalBello. 🍁 Thanks for coming by!
