Imagine you are putting together a four-day music festival. For each day you need a headliner, so who would it be (4 acts)?
If you want, you can include a couple of other artists who would also perform. Any genre; more than one genre, living or dead, solo, duo, band. Your festival, your choices!
Please forgive me for going over the quota. I couldn’t help myself! 😉 The page will probably be a little slow to load, but I promise, it’s worth the wait. #RockChickBliss

I believe you have had fun, this stuff rocks really well. Very cool pictures, I saw also pics shot by you (landscapes) but cannot find them now, they are really beautiful. I found your youtube blogs, listening to one, you can perform very well. Great to hear you start again making these, studied music, I actually guessed it:) Anyway great page, will visit here many times!
Thank you very much for your interest in my creations, Jean! 🙂 I love photography almost as much as music. And there are many travelogues as well. Not to mention my articles and photos with dogs. You are welcome here, anytime. Cheers! 🥂
What a festival. How did you get all those performers? (We did have a couple of groups in common – great minds). Seriously, your festival was so heavy with talent it crashed my browser twice. I did listen to some of the videos inbetween the two crashes. I have to admit, of the women, I only had heard of Heart, Janis Joplin and Buffy St. Marie. We need to change that imbalance of talent in music and other fields. I managed to listen to JJ Wilde and she is fantastic. I also got to hear several of the groups I was familiar with. Thank you for sharing all this (and all the work you put into it)
Sorry your browser crashed! 🙁 I tested it on Chrome and Firefox and had no issues…
How do we get all those performers? Toronto is the fourth-largest city in North America and the largest in Canada. It has 3 huge concert venues plus many smaller ones and is considered a music mecca. Everybody wants to perform here. Lucky me! We live in the suburbs, about 30 minutes away from downtown.
Sadly, gender imbalance is common in all professions. It’s slowly getting better but is taking far too long! Suzie McNeil is from Toronto and finished 4th in the singing competition show Rockstar INXS. JJ Wilde and Sass Jordan are established Canadian rock stars. Sass’s career began in in the 1980s.
I’m glad you enjoyed the festival, despite the crashes. Thanks for attending and for providing such a great prompt! 🙂 The playlist is also on YouTube.
Hi Debbie! I did the music festival at another blog and didn’t even think of Janis Joplin. I would want her as my opening act. Since we just observed International Women’s Day, I’m going to continue with women. My Day 2 is Heart. Day 3 is Diana Ross & The Supremes. Day 4 is Aretha Franklin!!!
Okay, first of all, I can’t believe it but then I can believe it, that you went to all of these concerts! Man, what a trip. It’s just so crazy. Seriously. – Alright, I have to say the only concert line-up I would stay at for all of them is Day #4, first for Alice Cooper and 2nd for Metallic. Day #1, I just want to see Janis. Day #2, just Heart. Day #3 The Who and Rod Stewart. Mostly, I would’ve just loved to have seen Janis.
Oh yay – finally, someone else who likes hard rock and metal! Not so many of us in the Blogosphere. 😆 Janis was one of a kind – a true legend. ❤️ I’ve been going to concerts for more than half a century! My “Fountain of Youth” and favourite form of recreation. Thanks for coming to the music fest. You rock! 🤘
OMG, you really are musically inclined. I love it. So sad to say I’ve never been, but I do love watching the concerts on PBS and AxsTV. My husband is the one who knows all about… Me I’m a dunce and barely know an artist’s name, let alone the bank, or is it group? LOL See…
Yes, I have a deep emotional attachment to music, and concerts are my fountain of youth! 🙂 My husband is more like you, Renée. He comes along, but I sometimes get the feeling he’s just humouring me. Thanks for checking out the music fest!
Thanks for coming to the festival, Sandee! 🙂 They cancelled concerts for three years during the pandemic and I really missed them. They’re my fountain of youth.
Hello girlfriend, How are you? Fine, I hope. What a fantastic line up! I wanna go to your concerts for sure!!! If only to see “Heart” and “The Who”! The rest a great too! I’d be on a hoppin’ concerts trip! hahahaha Thanks for joining us it sure has been a great day with all these wonderful bands. YOU’VE ROCKED THE HOUSE GIRLFRIEND! WOO HOO! Hope all is well with you. We have sunshine today & it’s wonderful!
All’s well here, Marie. Hope the same goes for you. 🙂 I’m glad you liked the music fest! Thanks for attending. Heart and The Who are both fabulous, live. I’ve seen them a few times each, over the years. Send some of that sunshine our way! It’s pretty gloomy here. Cheers! ☀️
You made some choices I had never heard of, and a few I would never have included. But different tastes are what make us human, so I hope you enjoy your virtual festival. (I am sure you will!)
Best wishes, Pete.
I know you’re definitely not a fan of day four, Pete! 😉😆 That’s okay, like you said, we all have different tastes. I had great fun reliving my favourite concert moments. They are my Fountain of Youth. 😎 Thanks for visiting!
You really know how to put a music fest together. You have something for just about everybody. I like all four days but I think my favorite has to be of the classic rock line up. Great idea! Incidentally, I had no problem with your page building but even if there was an issue this was well worth it! Thanks for joining the party, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!!
Thanks, Cathy! 🙂 I’ve been going to concerts for over five decades now. Scary how quickly the time has passed! I’m glad the page loaded well for you. I use the Lazy Load for Videos plugin, which seems to help.

That page I put to my bookmarks, this rocks!! You have cool stuff here:)
Thank you! 🙂 I had a lot of fun putting this together. I’ve updated the format now, for better photo display.

Great idea to have an all-female lineup! 🙂 Aretha would have been awesome. Thanks for joining in, Janie.
A great festival indeed. Very nice.
Glad you enjoyed it, Patrick! 🙂 Thanks for attending the musicfest.

Definitely need tix for day three… I might have to answer that on my own later.
Yes, three is a good one! 😀 I’d love to see what your music fest would be like.
The best four days ever. I’ve not been to a concert in years. Lots of fun indeed.
Have a fabulous day and week, Debbie. ♥

That’s an action packed and fun filled four days! I heartily approve! (Not that you need my approval…)
Thanks, John! I got a bit carried away, but couldn’t help myself. 😆 I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😎

The plugin did a fabulous job and yes it’s scary how quickly five decades have slipped by!
What a wonderful selection. Will spend the day tuning in. Haven’t hear a few of vthem like Janis Joplin in a while.
Thanks, Natasha. Enjoy! 🙂
