π‘ COZY HOME π‘
We live in a tiny (~1000 sq. ft.), 1950s bungalow, preferring to spend our money on life experiences and not property taxes. π Our small house is cozy, without feeling cramped, especially when it’s decked out for the holidays. (Thankfully, we haven’t had a snowstorm like this in several years! π€)

I get the property tax thing. When I was divorced, I gave her the house. One spring I saw it on the sheriffs sale list for non-payment. I said to her, “How do you not pay a $300 bill when you got a $1200 tax return?” Turns that she blew it on a trip for her and her friend to Florida…
Hmm, go on vacation, lose the house. Not a great plan! And $300 for property taxes is a bargain. We should be so lucky…
You have such a cozy home. The snow is pretty to look at but I know it’s not fun have on the ground. I’m not a fan of cold, snowy weather. Those doggies sure do look comfy. π
It’s small but comfy! π We haven’t had snow like that in many years – the photo is from 2013. All the dogs that stayed here made themselves right at home.
Very cute photos.
Thank you. π
So many very cozy dogs! Ollie used to love it when we lit the wood-burning stove in cold weather. He would lie really close to it and get toasty warm!
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes, I can picture Ollie getting cozy in front of the fire. π Sleeping dogs are so cute!
Everyone looks so comfy and cozy here … including someone’s feet propped up while watching TV. I’m not a fan of Winter, but I do like the ambiance of being comfy and cozy inside … until I have to go out and shovel or ensure no snow is blowing sideways into the high efficiency furnace pipe. My house is small too, which is fine as it’s just me, but in my quest to declutter it, I wonder how three people and a bird once lived here. The snow coming down reminds me that on Veterans Day a few years ago, we had a big snowstorm, maybe nine inches of snow, which was mostly melted by the afternoon. Snow I can do without – I’ve enjoyed the mild Winters but the downside is the ticks and mosquitoes don’t die off – ugh. I just watched the video of footage of the “Edmund Fitzgerald” and Harry Reasoner talking about the storm and sinking, which was 49 years ago today. I know it’s not rock-n-roll, but I always liked Gordon Lightfoot, Canada’s famous troubador, from “If you could read my mind” on. I always liked this song, despite hearing it so often when it first came out.
Cozy dogs and humans! π Those are my feet – a photo I took during the pandemic. Snow we could all do without – who likes to shovel it? π We have a lot of clutter in the basement, which we hope to get rid of one of these days/years. I love Gordon Lightfoot, and especially the “Edmund Fitzgerald”. He is missed in the music world! π
I’ve never been a fan of snow. I took the bus to Downtown Detroit for years, catching it a block away so I never had to drive in snow, except my first few years of school, so I only venture out in snow these days if I have to and walk the rest of the time. (My car is 15 years old, with 13,300 miles on it – a baby.) I’ll get my basement done one day … upstairs is more concerning for now. π I always liked Gordon Lightfoot, liked the song and I follow this guy’s blog on WP. He posts pics of his own and others’ pics all about Michigan. I had never seen this YouTube video of “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” before – I like it. Here is Andrew’s blog post link. I tried to just send the YouTube video and had issues as I have an ad blocker, even though I just watched your YouTube video. Sigh.

Cozy indeed, Debbie! All those precious dog pictures enjoying their sleep! I think a small home is cozy. It looks beautiful in the snow–hopefully we’ll get some but not too much!
Sleeping dogs are always cute! π Small home = cheaper taxes and utility bills. We have had little snow in recent years – that photo is from 2013 – and I’d just as soon do without it.
That is a lot of dog photos and they are all very beautiful. I also really liked the house with the snow falling. I love snow but we rarely get any of it in Texas. Is that your house?
I had many dogs coming and going for 27 years, and they all felt right at home. π That falling snow effect was done by Google photos. I had taken a picture of the house after a large snowstorm in 2013 and they added it for me. Yes, that is our little old bungalow. We moved into it in 1996.
I did not even think about the special effects you can add. It came out very nice.
awww Cute doggies, nice and relaxed. I like cozy better than huge and spacious like a museum. Cozy is warm, the other seems so cold. π
Sleeping dogs are always cute. π I wouldn’t want the high utility bills and property taxes that go with owning a large house. Plus, there’s so much more space to clean! π
