Although I love creating blog posts, visiting others, and interacting with everyone, once again, I’m feeling burned out and need to step back for a while. I may return in December, or start fresh in the new year.
You can still find me on other social media (Click HERE ► for links), and I’ll try to stop by your blogs when I can. In addition, there will be a new Battle of Bands contest on my other site Dec. 1:
In the meantime, for your viewing pleasure, here’s a roundup of this year’s posts from August to November. Comments remain open, and I’ll respond accordingly.

Have a wonderful break and happy holidays!
Thank you, Veronica! 🙂 I needed a couple of weeks off to regroup. Happy Holidays to you as well.
I’ll be happy to see you whenever you return. I haven’t spent much time in the blogosphere lately. I’m still in mourning because of the election.
Love,
Janie
Thank you, Janie! 🙂 I needed a couple of weeks off to regroup. We’re not happy with your election results either! 😩
Enjoy your time off and happy holidays!
Thank you, Peter! 🙂 It was a brief respite.
Hi Debbie – just enjoy the peace and quiet away from the milling crowd … I rarely announce my departures … I’m just lazy and don’t post for a while – feeling guilty as there’s lots I want to write up!!d. Such is life .. but see you when we see you … 2025 is going to be interesting … take care – cheers Hilary
Thank you, Hilary. 🙂 I just needed a couple of weeks off to regroup. Trying to catch up now! And yes, 2025 will be fraught with tension – it’s already started! 😩
Enjoy your break. Hope you have wonderful holidays.
Thank you, Hena. It was a temporary respite. 🙂
Thank you for mentioning me, and have a wonderful break, Debbie! Happy holidays in advance! Here’s to lots of good food and great company.
You’re welcome for the mention, and thank you for the holiday greetings! 🙂 I needed a couple of weeks off to regroup.
Debbie, I hope you will have a peaceful time off and you won’t have as many blog posts to keep up with as many people take time off from their blog at the holidays. Now I think that is very cool that you were able to spin out a list of bloggers that interact the most with you … yes, I was on top as we do interact a lot but we have learned just how much we have in common so it is not a wonder!
Thanks, Linda! 🙂 I needed a couple of weeks to regroup and get some stuff done offline. I’m not surprised you were at the top of the commentators list, since we do a lot of back and forth here.
Debbie – I never seem to have enough hours in a day. I was trying to get one blog post ahead so that I could get some things done in the house – the perpetual trying to organize myself, but have not gotten that done, more than push stuff around. I am going to do another watercolor class, then put that on the back burner for a bit to get some things done inside, also offline. The French classes I probably should have waited to start until I finished everything in the house, but that might be never at the rate I’m going, so c’est la vie! 🙂
Enjoy Deb. I get it. I’ll be taking mine late January. <3
Thanks, Deb! 🙂 I just needed a little breather for now. I know you’ll enjoy your fun in the sun next month.
Enjoy your break, Debbie. I feel we’re all entitled to step back for a while. Thanks for the mention.
Thank you, Eugi. I’m slowly getting back into it, now. You’re welcome for the mention. 🙂
Have a refreshing break, and Happy Christmas!
Best wishes, Pete.
Thank you, Pete! I’m slowly working my way back now. 🙂
Wise decision, no one should burn out her/himself with anything. I notice that you have many website, you have worked really much. Now relax and enjoy your life. Hugs to you Debbie😊
Thank you, JV! I do have a lot of different online projects and it gets a bit much, sometimes. This website is my main focus, though, and I have returned on a somewhat regular basis now.
Stepping back can be the best idea for lots of reasons, and when it’s self-care, that might top the list! Enjoy your blogging break and your holidays.
Thnks, Becky! 🙂 I had to take a breather, but am back as of Dec. 1
I think we’re entitled to take a break whenever we need to. Or want to. Or whatever.
Enjoy your time away from the blog.
Lee
Thanks, Lee! I’m back as of Dec. 1, with a new BOTB on Blogger and a new photo essay here. 🙂
See you when you get back! Relax and enjoy!
Thank you, John! I am back as of Dec. 1, including a new BOTB on Blogger. 🙂
Have a great and restful blogging break. We are facebook friends so we’ll still see each other.
Yes, I’m still around the net, just not publishing any new blog posts at the moment. Thanks, Thomas. 🙂
Enjoy your break, and hopefully we’ll soon see you back here refreshed and raring to go 😊
Thank you, Clive! 🙂 I will republish some perennial holiday posts soon.
