  1. So happy you made it back to your birthplace, Debbie. That must have been emotional for you. Lovely photos and fun making that video. You certainly are a technically savvy gal, aren’t you?

  2. This was great, Debbie! I love when paintings are done like that so wonderfully to replicate an acutal scene or building. And those buildings are gorgeous! 🙂

    1. Thanks Mike! Yes, my birthplace is a beautiful, historic town and it was so wonderful to see it again! 🙂 More photos on the original post, (there’s a link at the bottom of this post). Cheers! 🙂

  3. Hey Debbie,

So I’m assuming that these are places you’ve visited once again on your recent trip back home. So you had the paintings of some of these and were able to see the actual place. That’s so cool and I know you had a fabulous trip too.

Glad you had so much fun and enjoyed visiting places sounds like you haven’t been to in years, 41 to be exact. I bet that was a really cool experience.

Beautiful pictures by the way and welcome home!

    1. Hi Adrienne; Yes, it was quite a thrill to revisit those places again, after 41 years. 😀 My husband had never been before, so it was exciting for him, too! My mother purchased those pieces of art when we lived there in the 1960s and they are a great reminder of my birthplace. Thanks so much for dropping by!

  4. This is a lovely posting Debbie, hey I was mainly calling round to wish you a very Happy Halloween but I need to call here again soon, I haven’t been venturing off my own Space very much layely, well other things keep getting in the way but I am still posting, well posting more than visiting anyone, which is pretty obvious I guess? 🙁 Anyway just because I don’t call in much doesn’t mean that I have forgotten about you, oh no, not a chance my sweet and great friend 🙂

Be good tonight and don’t forget to treat me 😉

    1. Well, hello old friend! What a nice surprise to see you here. 😀 I haven’t been doing the rounds much either. Must come by for a visit, soon. Hope you had a great time on Halloween. Cheers!

    1. Thanks Joyce! 😀 It was even more amazing for me, because I got to visit those places again, for the first time since 1972. At least I had the artwork to remind me of home, all these years.

    1. Thanks, Teresa! 😀 Yeah; I thought it was pretty cool, myself! Even more so, was that I was able to visit the actual places again, for the first time since 1972. Another bucket list item.

    1. Thanks, Steve. It was a wonderful experience to visit the actual sites again, after more than 4 decades. At least I had the artwork to enjoy all these years, in the meantime. 🙂
