PERSONAL SPACE

A little off-the-cuff rhyme for today:

don't invade my personal space

I slap your hand

Get outta my face

Do not invade

My personal space

Coming back

Breath on my ear

Smelling foul

Get outta here

Bleary-eyed

Starting to sway

Drunken slob

Just go away

Passed out now

And kept at bay

My personal space

Is safe for today.

drunk man invading my personal space

Don’t you just hate when that happens?

  1. Debbie,

I don’t anyone crowding my personal space, drunk or not. That being said, I don’t recall being around too many people who were wasted. The few encounters have more or less been in passing but those individuals weren’t completely wiped out. I suppose, it’s a big help not being in the bar or party scene. Chocolate makes me giddy, not the same kind of giddy but it’s the kind of giddy that I like. 😀

  2. Definitely do not like drunkards. Or stoned for that matter. Or however it is said in English nowadays.
Disgusting when a person is no longer in control of himself.

  3. Recognize that for sure. Glad to be free. Was once at a cocktail party for work and literally ran away from it. So many of the ‘directors’ were drunk and OMG handsy. Had to go! Hate drunks!

Another great poem. Love it! A girl after my own heart!

  4. Hi Debbie!
Glad I found your site again. Kept getting detoured. I love what you’ve done with the place; the changes you’ve made 😉 And your poem is terrific!

  5. Great poem and so true! When I was actually seeing clients, this would happen every day. Add that they would scratch their balls, smell like food they ate or worse, bagman smell, or show me their operation scar and we have even more gross stuff.

  6. I don’t like my personal space being invaded either. When it’s a drunk invading it it’s even worse. Yuk.

Have a fabulous day and week, Debbie. ♥

    1. Yes; lots of “lovely” scents on public transit from people standing too close. 🙂 Thanks for visiting, Laurel. Sorry for the late response.

  7. LOL, oh yes – don’t like people crawling into that space that I don’t know well and they smell bad:) Great creativity Deb!

  8. Hi Debbie,

As always, you come up with such lovely poems and of course posts too! This one is apt where our personal space is concerned – and the image too- saying that no one can invade it, and the power to stop them too, lies in our hands.

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend 🙂

    1. Glad you enjoyed the poem, Harleena. 🙂 Yes, these space invaders are annoying, aren’t they? Thanks for visiting and have a good week.

  9. I so admire your creative ability to put in rhyme what we all hate and then make us laugh and snort. How I would like to smack people that can’t stand in line without invading your space by bruising your heel with their cart.

  10. Ooohhh you are getting WAY too clever with your rhyming ditties. I can see you doing this rap-style with your dogs in the background doing doggy-style doo wap. ( but don’t hurt yourself with those rap gyrations). LOL LOL. So clever! Give us more ( in your OWN space, of course). 🙂

    1. Same here, Corina. Even worse are those ones that are always touching your arm, etc. 😛 Glad you enjoyed the poem, Just a little bit of amusement. 🙂

    1. 😀 Good plan, Myke! I do like my personal space. Those “close talker” or “touchy/feely” types really bother me. Thanks for dropping by.

    1. 😀 This was just for amusement, but I seriously don’t like it when people stand too close, or even worse, when they’re all “touchy/feely”. Loved ones excepted, that is.

    1. Neither can I Corinne! 🙂 Even worse when they’re inebriated. LOL Glad you enjoyed this little bit of amusement. Thanks for visiting and have a good weekend.
