Welcome to

♫ Music Monday ♫

animated band

This week’s feature is CROONERS.

Not what you’d expect from an old hippie/rockchick, eh? 😉

I do enjoy those smooth, dulcet tones now and then .

Part I – The Classic Artists

Frank Sinatra was arguably the king:

Dean Martin was my personal favourite:

Tony Bennett is still performing, well into his 80s:

Always had a “thing” for Andy Williams:

Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Nat King Cole; the list goes on and on……

See more HERE.

Do you enjoy this musical style?

If so, who are your favourite Crooners?

If not, what type of music floats your boat?

Looking forward to your comments!

  1. I don’t think I had a favorite of the crooner age Debbie, I kind of like them all. You can’t go wrong with Frank Sinatra of Tony Bennett but I also like Dean Martin too so they all sound great. My parents loves to listen to all the big band music so I just enjoyed it all.

I believe I’ve mentioned this before but my favorite music is blues/rock. Yep, you just can’t beat it but I grew up on good old rock-n-roll so I love a little bit of it all.

Thanks for sharing and I’m very late to this party!

    1. Glad you enjoy these tunes as well, Corina. 🙂 Tony Bennett still looks and sounds great, doesn’t he? 8|
Next week, I’ll be doing the modern day crooners.

    1. They sure did! Amazing that Tony Bennett is still doing it. 🙂 Moon River is such a great tune and I loved the movie too, (Breakfast at Tiffany’s). Thanks for visiting Joyce and have a great week.
