INTERNAT ADVENTURES: MUSICAL MEMORIES

9 CommentsBoarding School ("Internat") Adventures, Memoir, Music

My year at boarding school, Sept. 1968 to June 1969 was a fascinating experience and like every other memory I have, contains a soundtrack. A specific song will instantly transport me back, just like a time machine. Please, won’t you come along for the ride?

  1. Hey Debbie,

As you might know already, I’m not fond of oldy songs much 🙂 There were times that oldies got my attention and I was all ears in such times.

I’ve been through all the songs and “Hello I Love You” and “Paint it Black” are of my taste Debbie 😉

    Have you heard of “I’m a Man”? ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hdL65J8m9A

Now what do you think of my taste on songs? 😉 lol…

    Cheers…

    1. Good day, Mayura; I am old, so I do like the old songs. 😉 Each one of those selections had a specific memory attached, from that particular time. Actually, I like your choice, too! Great driving guitar sound. Hard rock is one of my passions. BTW, that’s a remake of an oldie. 😉 Thanks for dropping by. Cheers!

  2. OMG, i love this music!!! Brings back many memories for me too :-). thanks so much for sharing!

  3. Spring 1969 my New Jersey high school Spanish class took a tip to Spain & Portugal…My friends & I met some guys, snuck out of our hotel and met them at a disco in Madrid…The two songs I remember being played over and over that night were both The Beatles: “Birthday” and yes, Obla Di Obla Da…and I certainly remember most everything else on your playlist…Memories!

  4. Thanks for posting “Where Do You Go To, My Lovely?” That song fascinated me, and I occasionally remember it, but I haven’t heard it in decades. What a nice memory.
