POSTSCRIPT:  As summer approaches (and it’s a short season here in Canada), I’ll be cutting back my online activities to make the most of the good (we hope) weather.  Wordless Wednesday will still appear occasionally, but not weekly. Thanks for your understanding!

    1. Thanks Ryan! ? So many social media sites, so little time. ? I must read your article, as blogger burnout does affect me. Happy New Year! ?

  1. As always your shots are lovely to behold. Thanks for linking up Debbie. Are you not linking up this week? We can’t wait to see more such spectacular moments.
Have a wondrous weekend. Much love and hugs <3

    1. Thank you, Natasha! 🙂 I’m cutting back on regular blogging activities for the summer. Our season is fairly short and so is life, yes? I will likely do a #WW here and there, but not sure when; definitely not on a weekly basis, though. I appreciate your visit and understanding. Have a good weekend!

  2. Beautiful Debbie – it’s lovely seeing all those pretty houses. I knew that was Lakeside Park in an instant and I havent been there for 35 years! Brought a little tear to my eye. Where is Grenadier Pond in Toronto? We used to go there and there were always lots of geese. Thanks for sharing these.

    1. Thanks, Gilly! 🙂 That may not be the Lakeside Park you’re thinking of (I believe there’s more than one in the GTA), but maybe it is; ~40km southwest of downtown Toronto. Grenadier Pond is located in High Park, Toronto. We had many of our wedding photos taken in that park, way back in August 1973. Have a good weekend!

  3. Hi, friend D, cat here … Alberta cat that is … Hope you are doing okay regarding flooding and all that … sorry I am not really up to snuff regarding news regarding the East of our vast country … Anyway … we have fires burning here in Northern Alberta … smoke comes down all the way to Central Alberta … Weather advisory is: Keep windows closed and run air conditioning. Anyway, just thought, I’d touch base with you, friend D. … Any travel plans? … smiles … Love, cat.

    1. Hi cat! 🙂 Thankfully, no flooding where we are and the rains have stopped for the moment. I’m typing this on the back deck. Yes, we’ve been watching the Alberta fires on the news. Terrible! 😮 Hope you and yours are all okay. Travel plans? Not so much, since we totally blew the budget last year with that cruise marathon. It was fantastic, so, no regrets. 😀 We might take a couple of short road trips, here and there. Thanks for coming by! Nice to see you out and about in the Blogosphere. Have a good weekend!

  4. The little purple flower with the water on tap.
My Rose of Sharon had a chicken snake atop.
I was fortunate to look and not fall into a trap.
A warning from my cat caused me to stop.

  5. I want to visit all these places. Anything on the water or in or around boats gets my attention.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Debbie. ♥

  6. Of course, I love the place that has 320 steps. I’d have to stop and rest along the way! I like the purple centerpiece too. Looks like it should be a painting to me. – Also. Still waiting on news about which gallery you’ll be in. Seriously.

    1. That climb was brutal, but thankfully, yes, there was a rest stop halfway up. It was well worth the effort! 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed the photos. Thank you for the kind words! ♥

    1. Thanks! 🙂 There are many different types of Hibiscus. Here in Canada, we have these:

Hardy hibiscus. These cold-tolerant, perennial shrubs can be just as beautiful as their tropical counterparts, with big showy blooms in a range of colours. A popular hardy hibiscus variety is Rose of Sharon, with pink, white, or purple flowers.

  7. Debbie,

I’m glad to know that spring HAS finally arrived in Canada. 🙂 I love water droplets on flowers in photography – beautiful job! It’s amazing to me to see places such as the Grecia monastery built on the side of an ocean cliff. There are many such spots like this in the Mediterranean isn’t there? Your images of faraway places really capture the imagination. Can you image the stories these places hold? I like the lighthouse shot but then I have a fondness for lighthouses. The shot of all the boats is really cool, too. Great job. Thanks for sharing and visiting, my friend!

    1. Hi Cathy; We had a few nice days, but overall, our spring has been rainy and chilly, so far. 😛 Here’s hoping for more decent weather, soon. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for your kind words! That Greek monastery is one of six up there in the mountains. Yes, there are thousands of amazing historical architectural sites in Europe; one of the main reasons I love it there! 🙂
