Weekly questions and blog hop brought to you by

Hilary at Feeling Beachie

This week’s co-host: Tami from Empty Nest in Il

The premise is simple; just fill in the blanks.

This week’s statements:

1. I don’t like to ____

2. I love to ___ in the morning.

3.. If I could change one thing in my life it would be _______

4. If I was better at _____, I would _____

Answers:

1. I don’t like to go to bed early, because then I’ll be wide awake in the middle of the night.

Insomnia

2.  I love to do very little in the morning.  Not my favourite time of day, (see #1).  Of course, this is rarely possible, but, as long as there’s coffee, I’ll manage.

coffee addict

3. If I could change one thing in my life, it would be to eradicate the arthritis that plagues me from neck to ankle.  Oh, to be young again!  All things considered, life is pretty good otherwise and getting old is a privilege denied to many.

I Wanna Grow Old with You

4. If I was better at sticking to my diet and working out, I would lose more weight.  Trouble is, most of our social life revolves around food and working out is difficult with arthritis and asthma.  Ironic that it would help both conditions.  OKAY!  Time to crack the whip on myself!  Starting tomorrow……;)  Getting down on the floor and back up is difficult, so, I found this great chair workout.  It’s a tough one, but, you can start off easy:

  1. Great questions, #2 is my favorite. I love to get on the treadmill in the morning. Thirty minutes helps and boosts energy, plus I heard that it speeds up metabolism, so I’m there!

Hope all is great Debbie, have a wonderful weekend my friend!

    1. I have heard that exercising in the morning will boost your metabolism, Corina. Not my favourite time of day, but, I keep saying I’ll give it a shot! Can’t do the treadmill though – problems with asthma, but, I have one of those mini cycles that work for legs and arms. Will try to force myself to hit it first thing in the morning. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend. 🙂

  2. Sorry about the arthritis and asthma. I have scoliosis but as long as I am diligent about my stretches it isn’t too bad. Good luck with your seated exercises. I’m going to look SparkPeople.com up online. Thanks!

    1. Scoliosis sounds pretty bad too. Spark People has a lot of great exercise videos and recipes. Be forewarned though: if you sign up for notifications, your inbox will be flooded!.

  3. Funny how there are morning and night people. We are a crack of dawn household, if it isn’t done by noon, it may never get done. We can’t make it past 10 pm most days! That is a bummer with the arthritis and asthma, mom’s father in law used to say that if you wake up in the morning with absolutely no pain anywhere, you must be dead. He would say that when people complained of their pains but it is true, age brings pain. Good luck with the diet and exercise 🙂

    1. Hi Emma; I do some of my best work in the evenings and at night. LOL Lots of blog posts get written then, too. Age does bring pain, but, we learn to live with it. My father had a great expression: “Old Age is not for sissies!” Thanks and have a good weekend. 🙂

    1. Great idea Judy! Wish I had a Jacuzzi or a pool here at home. I remember getting aqua therapy after my knee surgery and it was very helpful. Thanks for visiting and have a good weekend.
