Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors’
8 Sentence Sunday Blog Hop
Here’s something a little different for my last post until October, (read why below). This is a story I wrote for a #55Fiction challenge, (only 55 words allowed) and just by coincidence, it happens to be 8 sentences long.
She slammed the door in his face. How dare he? Sarah was livid! Jake had walked out months before to be with someone else and now he wanted to come back. What did he take her for? A doormat? She looked through the peephole and saw him standing there. He was crying and she melted.
“Often called “micro” or “nano” fiction 55 fiction is the art of creating a complete short story in exactly 55 words, no more, no less. Not an essay, not a poem, not a bunch of random thoughts, no musings. Just a potent piece of pure fiction that you’ve dexterously composed in 55 words.”
Thanks for dropping by.

As mentioned, this is my last post until October. Hubby and I will be vacationing in Europe for the month of September, in celebration of our 4oth anniversary. There’s so much to do in preparation, plus we’ll be otherwise occupied once we get there. Can’t wait! Click on the image if you’d like to see specifics of where we’re going:
WeWriWa has been a wonderful experience and I’ve enjoyed meeting so many excellent writers. Hope to connect with you all again in the Fall.
Until then, have fun!
